Rainbow Six is a tactical first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released on November 15, 1999, for Microsoft Windows. The game is set in a fictionalized version of the real-world events of the 1997–1998 French riots. The game's story follows the members of the French anti-terrorist unit Rainbow Six as they attempt to thwart a terrorist attack on the Eiffel Tower.
